From Conversation to the Water

Step 1: Start with the Fish and the Water
We talk through your target species, the water you fish, the techniques you use most, and what you want your next rod to do better than your current setup. The initial conversation directs the build further by the placement of the following four criteria in order of importance: 1. Performance - 2. Durability - 3. Aesthetics - 4. Price.

Step 2: Dial in the build
Together, we select the right blank and build specifications - then refine grip style, components, guide train, thread colors, trim, and personal details. This is where specific modifications not able to be found readily in factory off the shelf rods may be determined to be incorporated into your specific build.

Each rod is assembled, wrapped, finished, and inspected individually. There is no production-line shortcuts and no one-size-fits-all formula. All rods are test cast prior to delivery to the client to ensure performance meets expectations upon your rod meeting your hand.
